YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center will send its state-of-the-art Mobile Mammography Unit throughout the region in June.

The mobile unit provides the most accurate prevention, early detection and support services and was the first to offer 3D mammography. Certified radiologists read all mammograms, which are given a computer-aided second look. A patient’s physician will receive a copy of the results.

Mercy Health – Youngstown announced the van will be at the following locations for screenings, which are commonly covered by most insurance carriers, and financial assistance is available:

  • June 2: 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., Trumbull County Job and Family Services, 1360 Canfield-Niles Road, Mineral Ridge.
  • June 4: 8-10:30 a.m., Mercy Health – Churchill Primary Care, 4694 Belmont Ave., Youngstown.
