YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – MS Consultants Inc. has made a $10,000 contribution to Lake to River Economic Development.
Lake to River serves as the lead economic development organization for Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana and Ashtabula counties and operates as a network partner of JobsOhio, the state’s private nonprofit economic development corporation.
“We’ve always believed that the health of our business is tied to the health of our community,” said Mark Buchenic, MS Consultants vice president, eastern Ohio. “Lake to River is making strategic investments in the people, sites and opportunities that will attract new companies and help existing ones grow. Supporting their efforts is a meaningful way for us to help create long-term economic success in the region.”
Alexa Sweeney Blackann, interim CEO of Lake to River, said “the private sector plays a critical role” in economic growth. “With partners like MS Consultants stepping up, we can continue building the foundation for job creation, business expansion and sustainable growth across our four counties,” she said.
Lake to River’s work includes business attraction, site development and workforce initiatives designed to maximize the region’s competitive advantages.
“Every investment in Lake to River is an investment in this region’s ability to compete, win projects and provide new opportunities for residents and employers alike,” said Michael McGiffin, vice president of engagement and investor relations for Lake to River.
