Brandon Sklenar and Cameron Sobnosky discussed the upcoming 25 Under 35 event, which recognizes young professionals making an impact across the Mahoning Valley through leadership, entrepreneurship and community involvement.

The annual event hosted by Mahoning Valley Young Professionals highlights professionals who are excelling in their careers while also giving back to the community through mentorship, volunteerism and business leadership.

Sklenar noted that seven of this year’s 25 honorees are business owners, reflecting what he described as a growing shift toward entrepreneurship and leadership among younger generations as baby boomers continue retiring from the workforce.

Both emphasized the importance of networking and professional connections, saying organizations like MVYP help bridge the gap between students, young professionals and established business leaders throughout the region.

Sobnosky, in her first year as executive director, said the event showcases the passion and potential of young professionals who are committed to helping strengthen the Mahoning Valley and shape its future.
