SALEM, Ohio – Tricia Ross, owner of Nature + Nurture, discussed the growth of her startup business and the transition to a larger space as she prepares to open a new location.
Ross said the business began as a homegrown concept rooted in her experience as a homeschooling parent, curating books and educational resources focused on the Charlotte Mason philosophy before quickly gaining a national following.
Without outside funding, Ross built the business from the ground up with community support, eventually outgrowing her original space as demand increased both in-store and online.
She said the move to a larger building became essential to support inventory, operations and continued growth, describing the transition as a “grow or die” moment for the business.
Ross plans to open the new location in the coming weeks, with expanded space allowing for improved product displays, work areas and community-focused events as the business continues to evolve.
