YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Sales of new and used vehicles to residents of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties dropped during May compared with the same period a year ago, according to data from the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association.

The organization’s report for last month shows a total of 2,362 titles were issued for new vehicles, compared with 2,525 issued in May 2024, a drop of 6.4%.

According to the report, Boardman Subaru sold 138 new cars and trucks to local buyers, while Ken Ganley Kia, Boardman, reported the second-best sales volume with 120 units sold.

Fairway Ford in Canfield reported it sold 114 new vehicles in May; Greenwood Chevrolet sold 113 new cars and trucks; and Fred Martin Ford/#1 Cochran Ford-Mercedes Benz reported it sold 94 new units during the month.

Used car sales also dropped in May compared with last year, the report shows.

Sales of used vehicles to local buyers stood at 2,106 units, compared with 2,158 cars and trucks sold in May 2024, a decrease of 2.4%.
