NILES, Ohio — A new boba tea destination has opened in the Mahoning Valley, as Tsaocaa Boba Studio brings its nationally recognized brand and menu to the region.
Owner Joseph Nguyen says he was inspired to launch the shop after living in New York City, where the brand has built a strong following.
Nguyen said he wanted to offer local customers an elevated tea experience, noting the shop brews its tea fresh throughout the day, restarting every four hours to maintain quality.
“We keep the tea fresh all the time,” he said, adding that his wife test drinks regularly to ensure the flavors are consistent and authentic.
Along with a variety of specialty teas, the business also serves Vietnamese sandwiches and Hong Kong waffles made to order, offering what Nguyen describes as flavors uncommon to the Valley’s food scene.
The location marks the first Tsaocaa expansion for the family, with possible plans to grow further in the coming year.
