New Business Filings in Ohio Increase in July
COLUMBUS, Ohio – New business filings in the state continue to remain ahead of the previous year’s pace and are on track to exceed 2022’s near-record of 178,636 filings, according to a report released Friday.
Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced 14,500 new business filings in July, up 12% from July 2022.
The state has seen 123,674 new businesses created so far in 2023.
“Ohio remains an attractive place to start and grow a business despite serious national economic challenges,” a news release from LaRose’s office states.
