ANDOVER, Ohio – Ten new one-bedroom cabins are now open for rentals at Pymatuning State Park.
The state natural resources department recently showed off the new structures, which have modern features.
Built on the sites of the park’s former one-bedroom units, the new cabins retain the charm and layout of the originals while offering more space, year-round comfort and modern amenities. Each cabin features heating and air conditioning, upgraded furnishings and locally crafted live-edge dining and coffee tables made from Ohio wood.

“These cabins are a wonderful example of how we can honor the character of our parks while creating new opportunities for visitors,” said Mary Mertz, director of the department. “By building year-round, comfortable lodging that reflects the natural beauty of the region, we’re ensuring that more people can experience the best of Pymatuning in every season.”
Two of the new cabins are ADA accessible, expanding overnight options for visitors of all abilities. The addition complements the park’s existing mix of recently renovated preferred and basic cabins, providing guests with a range of lodging styles to suit every stay.
The new one-bedroom cabins are part of a broader investment in Pymatuning State Park that includes electrical upgrades to the campsite, cabin renovations and the design of a new multiuse trail connecting the campground to the main beach area.
Nestled along the shores of Pymatuning Reservoir, one of Ohio’s largest inland lakes, the park offers visitors a wide variety of outdoor recreation, from fishing and boating to hiking and wildlife viewing. The new cabins add another way for visitors to relax and enjoy all that the 3,500-acre park has to offer.
Reservations for the new cabins can be made at ReserveOhio.com or by calling 866 644 6727.
