COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Development’s Minority Business Development Division announced the launch of its new online training hub, a modern, centralized workspace designed to support Minority Business Assistance Centers across the state.
The one-stop shop connects MBACs to consistent, high-quality technical assistance and training resources to strengthen and enhance the client experience across the statewide network, a news release states.
“Behind every homegrown entrepreneur willing to take a chance on their dreams is a community ready to help turn ambition into opportunity,” said Lydia Mihalik, director of the Ohio Department of Development. “This new training hub will equip our regional MBAC partners with even more tools to learn from one another and continue delivering the high‑quality support our minority-, women- and veteran-owned businesses count on.”
Inside the new training hub, users will be able to access the following features: training resources, forms center, best practices library, outreach calendar, policies and compliance, partnership resources and onboarding hub.
The Ohio Department of Development supports small, minority-, women- and veteran-owned businesses through its Minority Business Development Division and a statewide network of 15 MBACs. The centers provide entrepreneurs with free one-on-one counseling, assistance accessing capital and state contracts, help navigating certification and other resources to start and grow their businesses.
