PITTSBURGH – Citizens Live at the Wylie, the new downtown concert venue that will open this fall, is showing off what it will offer.
The 4,000-capacity space, adjacent to PPG Paints Arena, announced its first round of concerts this week, as well as artist’s renderings.
Pittsburgh-born rapper Wiz Khalifa will headline the opening-night show Oct. 2.
The venue will deliver an immersive fan experience, according to a press release from Live Nation, which owns and operates the hall. It will feature a general admission floor and balcony with exceptional sightlines to the stage.
Premium spaces will include a rooftop lounge overlooking downtown Pittsburgh and the Vinyl Room, a listening lounge inspired by Japanese vinyl culture offering chef-driven cuisine and handcrafted cocktails.
The inaugural list of concert announcements includes rock, pop, hip-hop and comedy, including three artists who have never headlined a show in Pittsburgh: GloRilla, Matt Mathews and Freya Skye.
Tickets for select shows will go on sale Friday, March 20, with additional on-sale dates to follow. Go to CitizensLiveAtTheWylie.com for ticket information. More shows will be announced soon.
