YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Office of Vocations for the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown has launched new branding.
In a news release, the office said its mission remains unchanged – to help men and women discern and respond to God’s call – but its branding has been refreshed to better reflect that mission.

“As director of Vocations, one of my greatest privileges is accompanying young people as they discern where the Lord is leading them,” Wainio said. “It is inspiring to witness the Holy Spirit at work in hearts that are open to God’s call, and I am grateful to walk alongside them on this journey of discernment.”
As part of the new branding, the office introduced a new logo and website, DOYPriesthood.org, as well as a bimonthly vocations vodcast, “Echoing The Call,” with Father William Wainio, director of the Office of Vocations.
“We are excited to launch our new website and introduce our new vocations vodcast, both designed to provide engaging resources, inspiring stories and practical tools for those discerning their vocation,” Wainio said.
Wainio said he is available to assist parishes, schools and diocesan organizations in fostering a stronger culture of vocations through local promotion and outreach efforts.
He is also encouraging parishes throughout the Diocese of Youngstown to establish a formal Vocations Committee dedicated to promoting and supporting vocations within their community. Parishes interested in forming a committee, or existing committees seeking fresh ideas, resources or guidance, can contact Wainio at 330 744 8451, ext. 368, or wwainio@youngstowndiocese.org.
