Oh Wow to Hold 5th Science of Brewing
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Oh Wow! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology, will hold its fifth annual Science of Brewing, an adults-only fundraiser, Aug. 5.
Oh Wow provides enrichment experiences to children through exploration of hands-on exhibits and educational programs rooted in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
The fundraiser will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at Oh Wow. The proceeds from the fundraiser will support new learning experiences for students throughout the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys, according to a news release.
The evening will feature:
- tastings by Jackie O’s, Rust Belt, Southern Tier, Paladin, Luva Bella Winery, Vintage Estate, Youngstown Vodka and Woodland Cellars
- food pairings by O’Charley’s
- entertainment by Dana School of Music and Howard & The Five Point Band
- Make! workshops and interactive demonstrations
- A silent auction and basket raffle that showcases local area merchants and products
A cash bar will be available for guests who want more than a taste.
