YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Katie Seminara-DeToro, executive director of Oh Wow! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology, highlighted a new interactive exhibit created in partnership with Ohio Help Me Grow aimed at engaging young learners and families.

Seminara-DeToro said the temporary exhibit, known as the iSandbox, offers a hands-on STEM experience that uses augmented reality technology to project topographic features such as mountains, valleys and streams as visitors manipulate the sand.

The exhibit, located on the center’s second-floor tech hub, will be available through the end of May and is designed to provide both an engaging educational activity and access to resources for families with children up to age 3.

Seminara-DeToro said the partnership enhances Oh Wow’s mission to deliver interactive learning experiences while connecting families to valuable early-childhood programs throughout the region.
