YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Oh Wow! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology’s Silly Science Sunday festival will bring science, technology, engineering, arts and math to life from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 14 at Wean Park.
The 15th STEAM festival will feature more than 30 displays from regional exhibitors. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with a variety of robots, learn the science behind skateboarding and feed a butterfly. They’ll also learn about Ohio’s most famous astronaut, run on oobleck, explore Youngstown State University STEM programs and more.
“We are looking forward to another exciting year and are glad to be back in Wean Park again,” said Katie Seminara-DeToro, Oh Wow executive director. “Silly Science has been a staple event downtown and continues to offer fun, educational experiences for all ages.”
The festival is free and open to all. Attendees are encouraged to park at Covelli Centre.
Oh Wow’s facility at 15 Central Square will be closed during the festival, but free passes will be provided to attendees for a future visit.
