YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Demand for the fully online MBA program at Youngstown State University remains steady, despite national declines in graduate business enrollment, according to Betty Jo Licata, interim dean of the Williamson College of Business Administration.
The program, which moved entirely online in early 2020, serves about 600 students, with 150 to 180 graduating annually. Most are working professionals pursuing the degree part time to advance in their careers, increase earning potential or transition to new fields.
Licata says the online format appeals to a wide range of students, including nurses and others from nonbusiness backgrounds who use the degree to move into leadership or administrative roles.
