WARREN, Ohio – Mahoning Valley real estate and lending experts say the region’s housing market remains tight, with rising home values and limited affordable inventory for first-time buyers. At The Business Journal’s Housing and Mortgages Roundtable, panelists cited high construction costs, aging housing stock and few downsizing options for older homeowners as ongoing challenges.
Plus, a third screening of “Brier Hill,” a new independent film by Struthers filmmaker Jimmy Taaffe, is set for 5 p.m. Dec. 21 at Columbiana Arts Theater.
And the East Liverpool Youth Academy is partnering with Power Fitness Gym owners Tom and Megan Beagle to create the NextGen Athletic Lab, a high-performance indoor training facility in the city’s East End.
