YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Alta Care Group announced Tuesday that Vince Paolucci will take over as the organization’s new CEO on March 31.
Paolucci will replace Joe Shorokey, who will retire after four decades of work and leadership.
“I am excited and honored to take the next step in my career. Helping children and their mental health has always been my passion, and I look forward to continuing and expanding the incredible work Alta Care Group does,” Paolucci said. “My goal is to continue the development and strengthening of our programs that provide critical support to children and families in need.”
Paolucci, who joined Alta Care Group in 2017 and most recently served as chief operating officer, has nearly 30 years of experience in behavioral health. His career began in 1994, engaging in many direct service roles, including case manager and home- and school-based therapist. He has also held various leadership roles, including director-level positions at the Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
Shorokey expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead the organization, as well as confidence in his successor.
“Leading Alta Care Group has been the honor of my career. I’ve been privileged to work alongside an incredible team that truly cares about making a difference in children’s lives,” Shorokey said. “I am confident that Vince’s leadership will continue to drive our mission forward with the same vision, passion and dedication.”
