YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Local residents will have another opportunity to learn about the criminal justice system through the fall 2026 edition of People’s Law School.
The free community program will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. every Tuesday from Sept. 15 to Oct. 27 at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Drive.
Sessions will be led by representatives from the Mahoning County Prosecutor’s Office, Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio State Highway Patrol, as well as local judges and other members of the legal community.
Topics will include constitutional law, OVI laws, wills and estates, local area courts, human trafficking, plea bargaining and marijuana laws.
Lynn Maro, Mahoning County prosecutor, described the program as a “great way to engage” the public, allowing residents to ask questions, interact with presenters and learn how the judicial system works.
