HOWLAND –Six agents at Platt Insurance earned their certified insurance service representative designation in 2024, which signifies extensive industry knowledge and dedication to service.
Additionally, Ellie Platt, owner of the agency, achieved the certified insurance counselor designation, confirming her commitment to continuing education and industry leadership.
The agency implemented technological advancements last year, streamlining its processes, according to Platt. This year the agency plans to expand its farm and commercial business, targeting breweries, wineries, small retail businesses, salons and contractors, she says.
Community engagement remained a core focus. The agency partnered with Trumbull County schools, Trumbull 4-H, Oh Wow!, Youngstown Light Up Night and the MVP 25 under 35 awards. Amelia Gavolas, Platt operations coordinator, was a nominee at the latter event.
The agency’s community commitment was recognized with a nomination for the Valley Partners Small Business Impact Award.
