LISBON, Ohio – Pondi’s Restaurant & Market has been named a finalist for the Great Game of Business Healthy Company All-Star Awards.
The award recognizes organizations that build strong, people-focused cultures through open-book management and employee engagement.
“This honor belongs to our entire team,” said Matt Borza, owner of Pondi’s. “We believe in giving every employee a seat at the table, and this recognition shows that investing in our people leads to great things – for them, for the business and for our community.”
The recognition places Pondi’s among a select group of businesses across the country that are proving how financial transparency, team involvement and leadership development can lead to lasting success.
“The Great Game of Business has changed the way we lead and how our team shows up every day,” said Treg Steves, operating partner at Pondi’s. “It’s helped us build a culture of ownership, accountability and real opportunity for everyone in the building.”
The Healthy Company All-Star Awards is part of a national program that highlights organizations using The Great Game of Business, a system that teaches employees how to understand the business, forecast results and take ownership of company performance. Finalists are chosen based on measurable results in leadership, profitability, employee engagement and long-term sustainability.
As a finalist, Pondi’s will be recognized at the 2025 Great Game of Business Conference, where winners will be announced.
“Lisbon has supported us for generations,” Borza said. “We’re proud to bring this recognition home and share it with the entire community.”
