Quick Care Reopening at Akron Children’s
BOARDMAN, Ohio — Akron Children’s Hospital is reopening its Quick Care service a the Beeghly campus
Located at 6505 Market St., Building A, Quick Care has been closed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Starting Sept. 1, the center will be open noon to 8 p.m. (last appointment at 7:40 p.m.) Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last appointment at 5:40 p.m.) Saturday and Sunday.
Parents can scheduled appointments at AkronChildrens.org/quickcare. Walk-ins are also accepted.
Quick Care is a convenient option for unexpected illness and minor injuries, according to a press release. Sports and work physicals are also available.
COVID-19 testing is also available for patients who have possible symptoms, but won’t be available for patients without symptoms who are seeking sports, school, work or day care clearance, according to the release.
To maintain a safe environment during the pandemic, Akron Children’s continues to follow guidelines set by Gov. Mike DeWine and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including limited entry points, physical distancing, hygiene and sanitization, decreased number of visitors and wearing face masks.
All visitors are asked to wear a face mask, except for kids younger than 2 or who have sensory issues. Masks are provided for visitors who don’t bring their own.
