YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — As transportation and warehousing grow in the Mahoning Valley, leaders are focusing on workforce development to meet demand.

Brenda Linert, director of community impact at the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, said regional growth from companies like Amazon and HomeGoods will increase the need for skilled workers.
Efforts are targeting younger and more diverse workers, with companies emphasizing retention, culture and career development.
