BOARDMAN, Ohio – Customers were welcomed inside the newly transformed Walmart Supercenter at 1300 Doral Drive on Friday.

Walmart associates marked the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, community celebration and the unveiling of a community-inspired mural.

The mural, part of Walmart’s Community Mural Program, captures the scenic beauty of Mill Creek Park and celebrates local events such as the Simply Slavic Heritage Festival and Hola Fest Youngstown.

“At Walmart, we strive to enhance our customers’ overall shopping experience,” said Taylor Balog, Walmart store manager. “It’s truly exciting to introduce a wide range of new features and enhancements across the store. I’d like to extend a big thank you to our incredible Walmart associates and store leadership teams, as this store transformation wouldn’t have been possible without them.”

During the celebration, store leaders and associates highlighted the transformation and new interactive features available to customers, including:

  • New displays.
  • Transformed departments and a reconfigured store layout.
  • New digital touchpoints to help communicate the assortment of products and services through the use of QR codes and digital screens.
  • Updates to the vision and pharmacy departments.
  • Fully remodeled restrooms.
