SHARON, Pa. – Reynolds Services Inc. has joined Mercer County Food Bank’s Carrot Club at the Harvest level, providing 80,000 meals to those in need in Mercer County for the second year in a row.

Carrot Club is an annual major gift program that helps the food bank get to the root causes of hunger. Local companies, organizations and individuals can join at various levels – Seedling, Sprout, Root and Harvest – to advance the food bank’s mission.

“More than 15,000 people, including 4,300 children living in Mercer County, are considered food

insecure, which by definition means they don’t always have access to adequate or nutritious food,” said Rebecca Page, executive director of the Mercer County Food Bank.

The food bank distributed a record 3 million pounds of food to those in need in 2024 and is serving, on average, more than 12,000 people each month.

“We are grateful to Reynolds Services Inc. for their continued support in the fight against hunger, assisting the food bank to meet this ever-growing need for food assistance throughout communities in Mercer County,” Page said.
