Richardson Monuments of Lisbon, Ohio, completed two high-profile projects in 2025 and will embark upon more this year.

The company completed a rosary project at St. Paul’s church in Ellsworth. It created a garden with 59 “beads,” each engraved with a personal message, along with granite benches and a sculpted crucifix.

The company was also chosen to install the Lincoln Memorial in Salem. It provided the granite, which includes a quote by the president and his signature engraved on it.

Richardson won the people’s choice award from the Monument Builders of North America for a monument it designed and installed at Columbiana Memorial Park in East Liverpool.

The company expanded its facility, which now includes a new sandblast area that makes cutting stones easier, says co-owner Carly Brock. The equipment replaces an aging device that made stonecutting a longer process.

This year, Richardson is involved in two community projects.

The first, a sculpted soldier statue commissioned by the Amvets of Salem, will be unveiled in May. The second is a monument to honor soldiers, commissioned by Sons of the American Revolution in East Liverpool, that will be unveiled in July.

The company has also started buying granite direct from quarries to help it keep costs down.
