Rise Pies to Add Eastwood Location this Summer
NILES, Ohio – Rise Pies will open a new restaurant in the Eastwood Mall Complex this summer, the Cafaro Co. announced Wednesday.
The restaurant will occupy more than 2,600 square feet in the Howland Commons section of the mall complex, next to Bloomberg Optical and One Hot Cookie.
Rise Pies, which is owned by the Muransky Compaines, opened its first location on Route 224 in Boardman in September 2014 and has added five locations since then. It was born from a collaboration with Vernon Cesta and Ed Moses, founders of Vernon’s Cafe Ristorante in Niles and V2 Trattoria and Wine Bar in Youngstown.
The restaurant offers handcrafted pizza using dough made fresh daily and locally-sourced ingredients. The premier offering is a “Build Your Own” pizza, which allows customers to choose from three doughs, six sauces, eight cheeses and 23 other toppings.
“Our entire concept is based on bringing Mahoning Valley pizza to the nation, so what better place to continue doing so than right here in Trumbull County,” said Eddie Muransky, Rise Pies president. “My great-grandfather immigrated to Niles from Italy in the 1920’s and my great grandmother baked pizzas for Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church throughout her life. Between those roots and Vernon’s great presence here, we’re thrilled to launch at the Eastwood Mall Complex.”
Rise Pies will open six additional locations this year and plans to have 20 locations open by the end of 2017.
