NEW YORK – Phil Collins, Billy Idol and Iron Maiden are among the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2026 inductees.

Collins is already in the Rock Hall, having been inducted in 2010 as a member of Genesis. He is now being recognized as a solo artist, making him a double inductee.

In addition to Idol and metal legends Iron Maiden, the other inductees in the Performer category are Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan.

Idol, the snarling British rocker known for 1980s hits “White Wedding,” “Rebel Yell” and “Eyes Without a Face,” will tour this summer, with an Aug. 20 stop at Star Lake amphitheater and a Sept. 13 date at Blossom.

Wu-Tang Clan will play Blossom on Sept. 9.

Inductees receiving the Early Influence Award are Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte and Gram Parsons.

Inductees receiving the Musical Excellence Award are Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller and Rick Rubin.

The Ahmet Ertegun Award winner is Ed Sullivan, whose television variety show (1948-1971) introduced many musical acts to the nation.

To be eligible for induction, an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.

Collins, Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan are first-time nominees. Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis and Sade have all been nominated in the past.

The Performer category is for artists who have created music whose originality, impact and influence has changed the course of rock ’n’ roll.

The Early Influence category is for artists whose music and performance style have directly influenced, inspired and evolved rock ’n’ roll and music culture.

The Musical Excellence Award highlights artists, musicians, songwriters and producers whose originality and influence have had a dramatic impact on music.

The Ahmet Ertegun Award honors nonperforming industry professionals who have had a major influence on the creative development and growth of rock ’n’ roll.

The Inductees were announced live on ABC and Disney+ on Monday evening by Ryan Seacrest and 2022 inductee Lionel Richie during the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame episode of “American Idol.”

The 2026 induction ceremony will take place Nov. 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. It will debut in December on ABC and Disney+.

The induction ceremony will return to Cleveland – the home of the Rock Hall – in 2027.

The nominees for the class of 2026 in the Performer category that were not selected for induction are the Black Crowes, Mariah Carey, Melissa Etheridge, New Edition, P!nk, Shakira, Jeff Buckley, Lauryn Hill and INXS.
