YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – RT Vernal of RT Vernal Paving and Excavating will serve as one of the featured “sharks” at this year’s Youngstown Business Incubator Shark Tank pitch competition. A longtime attendee of the event, Vernal cited the passion and expertise of past participants as a key reason for getting involved.
“I’ve watched it from the crowd numerous times,” Vernal said. “You see businesses that just need that little bit of a shot in the arm to get off the ground or get over the next hump. And for me, just knowing that the YBI would be at your back, both with their innovation and their expertise and knowledge. I mean, I don’t know if you could do any better.”
Vernal, who returned to the Mahoning Valley after time away, emphasized the importance of keeping local talent in the region. “It’s a huge advantage not just for the entrepreneur, but for the community,” he said.
He added that the pitches that resonate most with him are those marked by clear passion and a deep understanding of the business.
