BOARDMAN, Ohio – Russell Real Estate Services has acquired Mayo Realtors, uniting the agencies to serve the residents of the Mahoning Valley and surrounding areas.

Russell Real Estate Services, based in Strongsville, is one of northern Ohio’s largest independent brokerages.

The partnership comes less than a year after Volpini Real Estate merged with Russell. Since joining the Russell family, Volpini agents have experienced a boost in business, client satisfaction and market visibility, benefiting from Russell’s technology, marketing support and leadership systems, a news release states. Mayo Realtors expects to see the same results.

Boardman-based Mayo Realtors was founded in 1959. Under the leadership of John McCarthy, broker, the company’s team of full-time agents has remained dedicated to upholding the highest standards of business professionalism and community involvement, the release states.

“The Mayo team and the Russell team share the same heart for their agents, clients and communities,” said Jeff Russell, president of Russell Real Estate Services. “We both believe in family values, collaboration and doing what’s right for the client. This partnership simply feels natural – it’s two families coming together as one.”

McCarthy echoed that sentiment.

“From the first conversation with the Russell leadership team, it was clear we share the same culture and commitment to people first,” he said. “Both companies have deep family roots and a passion for helping our clients and agents succeed. We’re proud to join forces with Russell and excited for what this means for our clients, agents and community.”

Russell Real Estate Services continues to provide a blend of local service and cutting-edge technology, the company said.

One of Russell’s latest initiatives is the Triple Play bundle of services, offering clients mortgage, title and insurance solutions through the Russell Family of Companies.

“Today’s clients want simplicity, savings and confidence,” Russell said. “The Triple Play offers all three – and it’s changing how people buy and sell homes in northern Ohio.”
