COLUMBIANA, Ohio – For half a century, Rutana Concessions has been serving up its specialty: the “Original” hot apple dumpling with ice cream.
The treat with a cinnamon and brown sugar sauce is available at fairs and festivals.
The company is run by Melissa Zitkovic and her father, Mike Rutana. It is marking its 50th year in business this summer.

- July 21-26: The Carroll County Fair, Carrollton.
- July 29-Aug. 9: The Ohio State Fair, Columbus.
