SALEM, Ohio – The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce saw a growth in membership in 2024 and a record-setting marketing campaign. The chamber also welcomed a new leadership team. Lori Wilson was named executive director and Alicia Johnston deputy director.
The chamber added 39 members, bringing total membership to 358 individuals, businesses and organizations, says Wilson.
The annual marketing campaign yielded a record-breaking 58 sponsorships, generating funds for local nonprofits, she adds.
In November, the chamber honored local leaders and businesses at its annual meeting. Sondra O’Donnell was posthumously recognized as Citizen of the Year, Myers Family Insurance as Small Business of the Year, Farm and Dairy as Large Business of the Year and the Kiwanis Club of Salem as nonprofit of the year.
