NORTH LIMA, Ohio – The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign will kick off at 10 a.m. Nov. 8 at Sheely’s Furniture and Appliance, 11450 South Ave.
The Sheely Foundation recently donated to The Salvation Army, Mahoning County Area Services.
The Red Kettle campaign, accompanied by a bell ringer, is the Salvation Army’s largest annual fundraiser, raising money to support the organization’s programs year-round.
As of Oct. 1, the Salvation Army Mahoning County Area’s Community Meal program has served more than 40,000 meals, and its food pantry has assisted over 2,000 households in the county. These programs are supported by individual donations and corporate sponsors of the Red Kettle campaign.
The Nov. 8 kickoff event will run through noon, and the community is invited. Coffee and doughnuts will be available at no charge.
