Salvatore’s Event Funds 140,565 Food Bank Meals

HOWLAND, Ohio — A celebrity bartending fundraiser at Salvatore’s Italian Grill generated $28,113 for Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley, enough to provide 140,565 meals.

Restaurant representatives on Friday presented the check from the Dec. 22 event, which organizers said exceeded expectations. Second Harvest officials said the donation will help offset rising food purchase costs as demand continues across the Valley.
