YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A segment on Penguin City Brewing and downtown Youngstown will air Thursday, Aug. 14, on the CBS Evening News.
The newscast begins at 6:30 p.m. and can be viewed locally on WKBN-27.
The newscast will also be shown on the big screen in the Penguin City taproom.
CBS News reporter Dave Malkoff and a film crew visited the brewery earlier this year to shoot the segment.
Malkoff is a Liberty Township native and a friend of Penguin City co-owner Aspasia Lyras-Bernacki.
The segment will highlight the unique brewery, which opened in 2022 in a former steel warehouse on the edge of downtown.
The building has become a symbol of the city’s progress that also salutes its past.
