STRUTHERS, Ohio – The Garden of Eden is the setting for Selah Dessert Theater’s production of “Searching For Eden: The Diaries of Adam and Eve.”
The romantic comedy by James Still, based on the writings of Mark Twain, opens a three-weekend run Thursday.
Presented in an abstract setting, Adam and Eve learn about each other and fall in love.
In an unexpected twist, the middle-age couple is seen in the 21st century with busy careers and growing apart. They take an anniversary getaway to the resort “E” to find each other and rekindle the romance of their youth.
Sydney Campbell as Eve and Adam Dominick as Adam create the first couple. The humorous and endearing play looks at their relationship from beginning to end, exploring the themes of male and female differences, women’s equality and what it is to be with another person so long that each knows the other better than themself.
Performances will take place at 8 p.m. Feb. 20-22, Feb. 28-March 1 and March 7-8.
Tickets are $19.50 and include reserved seating and dessert at intermission. Go to SelahDessertTheater.com for tickets.
