NEW CASTLE, Pa. – State Sen. Michele Brooks, R-50th, and state Rep. Marla Brown, R-9th, are inviting senior citizens, their families and caregivers to a senior expo Friday.
The expo, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cascade Park Dance Hall, 1928 E. Washington St., will feature a variety of exhibitors from local, state and federal agencies, health care providers and senior-focused organizations.
Attendees can gather information and ask questions about programs related to health care, financial planning, veterans services, fraud protection and more.
“I always enjoy these opportunities to engage with our senior citizens and ensure they have access to the support they need,” Brooks said. “This expo offers valuable tools to help seniors live safely, independently and actively.”
In addition to informational booths, the event will offer free health screenings and vaccinations, including flu, pneumonia, tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis, available on a first come, first served basis.
“Older adults are a vital part of our community,” Brown said. “This event is designed to connect seniors and their families with helpful services, provide health resources and create a fun, welcoming environment.”
Food will be provided, and admission is free. No registration is required.
