YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Marisa Sergi-Schumann says a family tradition in wine-making and an interest in both agriculture and hospitality led her to pursue the industry, eventually leaving E. & J. Gallo Winery to focus on her own brand.

She described building her RedHead wine label, now rebranded as Red’s, from a college capstone project into a retail product through direct outreach to distributors, later securing placement through Walmart and expanding into multiple states and national chains.
