SHARON, Pa. — Sharon Regional Health System has named Jason N. Roeback, MHA, as chief executive officer effective July 1, a spokesman announced today.
Currently Roeback is working as a project CEO with hospitals affiliated with Community Health Systems. He brings more than 20 years of experience in hospital and health-care leadership to his new post at Sharon Regional, the spokesman said.
“I have been impressed by the medical staff and employees at Sharon Regional Health System,” said Roeback in a prepared statement. “This group clearly has a strong commitment to the future and I’m very excited about the opportunity to work with the staff in continuing to provide advanced health care services to the region.”
Roeback has served as president or CEO with for profit, nonprofit, and academic health-care settings, where he established an environment of care that resulted in recognitions for quality and high satisfaction among employees, physicians, and patients. He last served as a president for UPMC Northwest Hospital and senior vice president for UPMC Hamot in Erie.
He began his career in health care with the U.S. Navy as an officer in the Medical Service Corps serving with distinction.
Roebuck, a native of Erie, earned his baccalaureate at the University of Kentucky and his master’s degree in health administration at Pennsylvania State University.
