SHARON, Pa. – In honor of local EMS providers, Sharon Regional Health System will host a Touch a Truck community event May 16.

Families from across the Shenango Valley are invited to Sharon Regional Health System’s main parking lot from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to learn more about the wide variety of Emergency Medical Service providers working in the area.

The free event will feature vehicles to explore, including ambulances, firetrucks, police vehicles and other community service equipment. There will also be activities for children, educational stations, hands-on demonstrations and local food vendors.

“EMS professionals are the first line of care in moments when every second matters,” said Joe Malinski, EMS coordinator at Sharon Regional Health System. “This event is our way of celebrating their commitment to the community and giving families a fun, hands-on way to learn about the vital role they play in keeping our community safe.”
