SHARON, Pa. – For the third consecutive year, Sharon Tube LLC has joined Mercer County Food Bank’s Carrot Club at the Harvest level, providing 80,000 meals to those in need throughout Mercer County.
Carrot Club is the food bank’s annual major gift program. Organizations and individuals can join at various levels: Seedling, Sprout, Root and Harvest.
“We are humbled by the continued generosity of Sharon Tube,” said Rebecca Page, executive director of Mercer County Food Bank. “Since joining Carrot Club in 2023, Sharon Tube has provided hundreds of thousands of meals. Beyond their generous contributions, they also volunteer year-round, helping to pack boxes and assist at food distributions across Mercer County.”
Each month, Mercer County Food Bank provides food to more than 14,000 people throughout the county.
“Nearly 16,000 people, including 4,600 children living in Mercer County, are considered food insecure, which by definition means they don’t always have access to adequate or nutritious food,” Page said. “Carrot Club supporters are helping to ensure that we have the resources available to continue to bridge the meal gap that exists in Mercer County.”
