NORTH LIMA, Ohio – Sheely’s Furniture and Appliance’s fourth-quarter fundraising drive brought in $21,319 for Clothed in Strength.
A check was presented to the organization at Sheely’s North Lima location Jan. 14.
“Clothed in Strength fills a necessary role to such an at-need segment of our community. Sheely’s is pleased to honor their excellent work with this fundraising drive,” Sheely’s owner Jessica Smith said. “In our 70-plus years in business in the region, giving back to our community is always in the forefront of why we do what we do.”
The fundraising event, which was held at Sheely’s Aurora and North Lima locations, provided matching funds for every donation received and incentivized customers to donate by providing a 10% discount on qualifying purchases.
“Sheely’s believes in supporting all aspects of our community,” said Lance Romeo, Sheely’s buyer and principal owner. “Clothed in Strength is absolutely deserving of all the assistance we can offer them. And we want to thank everyone involved in this effort, including our great customers and our amazing staff.”
The mission of Clothed in Strength is to bridge the gap between government assistance and financial freedom for low- to moderate-income single mothers. For more information, visit the organization’s website.
