Shenango Chamber Announces Winners of Phoenix Awards

SHARON, Pa. – The Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce will present its annual Phoenix Awards at 11:30 a.m. May 18 at The Corinthian Banquet Center downtown.

The newest honor, the Trailblazer Award, will be presented to HHSDR Architects and Engineers’ J. Greer Hayden. Other awards include the New Business Startup Award, presented to the Hope Center for Arts and Technology; Entrepreneur Award, presented to Breanna Griffin of Anytime Fitness of Hermitage, and the Innovation Award given to Hermitage Municipal Authority for its Food-to-Waste Energy Facility.

For the chamber’s industrial awards, Solar Atmospheres in Hermitage will receive the Growth in Small Manufacturing award and Miller Industries, Hermitage, will receive the Growth in Large Manufacturing award. In the service sector, Buhl Park will be honored with the Growth in Small Service award and The Nugent Group’s Lakes at Jefferson will be given the Growth in Large Service honor.

Among nonprofits, the Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio will be presented with the award in the large category, while Mercer County Mentoring will receive the award for small organizations. Jim Landino of Sharon will be given the Beautification Award.
