WARREN, Ohio – Efforts to recruit more young people into the skilled trades are showing results, according to union leaders and educators across the Mahoning Valley. Increased outreach in schools, updated shop classes and events such as the Mahoning Valley Skilled Trades Expo are helping attract more high school graduates to apprenticeship programs.

Plus, a special episode of “America the Bountiful” hosted by Valley resident Capri Cafaro explores how food and agriculture helped American colonists achieve self-sufficiency during the Revolutionary War.

And 7 17 Credit Union will host Financial Wellness Night on July 17 at 7 17 Credit Union Field at Eastwood in Niles.
