SALEM, Ohio – Deb Anastasiadis has assumed the leadership role of unit director at the University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center at Salem Regional Medical Center (UHSCC at SRMC). With over 30 years of oncology experience, Anastasiadis will oversee clinical oncology services including medical oncology and chemotherapy. She comes to UHSCC at SRMC with a strong background as a clinical nurse specialist, nurse educator, oncology manager and director.

“Her appointment brings a wealth of oncology experience and a commitment to excellence that will benefit our cancer patients,” said Dr. Anita Hackstedde, SRMC president and CEO. “During her career, Deb has been known for distinguishing herself with a direct, caring approach that builds her team and supports the cancer patient’s experience.”

Anastasiadis received her bachelors degree from the University of Akron and then began her career as an oncology nurse at Akron General Hospital. From there, she obtained her masters in nursing and worked as a clinical nurse specialist on the inpatient and outpatient units at Forum Health. She assumed an oncology nurse manager’s position at University Hospital’s Seidman Cancer Center and then was promoted into a director’s role, before joining the UHSCC at SRMC.
