Buchenic also has special interests in providing health education, with an emphasis on diet and exercise, and mental health.

“Ever since I was a young boy, I had dreamed of becoming a physician,” Buchenic says. “There is no greater joy than knowing that I have made a difference in the lives of others, and I hope to continue to do so on my path in medicine.”

A graduate of Springfield Local High School, Buchenic received a B.S. in biology at Youngstown State University. While at YSU, he also earned a certificate of applied gerontology, providing him with advanced knowledge and skills in caring for the aging population.
