NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Stark State College will begin enrolling Bachelor of Science in nursing students beginning in the fall 2025 semester.
Stark State’s program is designed for working registered nurses. It offers online coursework with a hands-on practicum at Stark State’s tuition – what the college reports is the lowest tuition of any college or university in the region. The BSN builds on Stark State’s associate degree in nursing/RN program.
“Our new bachelor of science in nursing program addresses the critical need for nurses,” said Para M. Jones, president of Stark State College. “It benefits working nurses who want to complete the BSN while working, and it benefits hospitals and health care employers who need more bachelor-degree nurses. It also makes bachelor’s-degree education more affordable and accessible to working professionals.”
Lada Gibson-Shreve, provost and chief academic officer at Stark State, said the RN to BSN Pathway program builds on Stark State’s nursing education history.
“Hands-on practicum experiences are tailored to real, workforce-based learning that enable students to explore specialty nursing practice, advanced nursing roles and alternative practice settings,” she said.
