Steely Dan Comes to Youngstown Amphitheater Aug. 27

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Rock band Steely Dan will perform at The Youngstown Foundation Amphitheater Aug. 27. Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday at 10 a.m., both online and at the Covelli Centre box office.

Ranked No. 82 on the VH1 list of 100 greatest musicians, the band is best known for songs like “Reelin’ in the Years,” “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number” and “Bodhisattva.”

Though cofounder Walter Becker died in 2017, his partner Donald Fagen has continued the band, performing in recent years with The Doobie Brothers and, earlier this year, Steve Winwood. In April, Steely Dan had a nine-night residency at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas.

Among the other acts performing the downtown amphitheater, which opens June 14, are Gucci Mane (June 22), Chicago (June 28), Earth, Wind & Fire (July 5) and the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra (Aug. 10).
