Steward Health Care Earns Awards, Reaccreditations
WARREN – Steward Health Care operates 39 community hospitals across the United States and employs more than 40,000 health care professionals. Its system includes more than 25 urgent care centers, 42 skilled nursing facilities and behavioral health services.
In the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys, Steward Health operates Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren, Sharon Regional Medical Center in Sharon, Pa., and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Niles. All three facilities experienced notable growth in 2022, furthering Steward Health’s commitment to the community, says Robert Rogalski, president OH/PA Region at Steward Health Care.
In 2022, Trumbull Regional Medical Center was recognized as a U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital for cardiac care and achieved the center of distinction award from Healogics in the wound healing center.
The hospital’s Level III Trauma Center was recertified by the Verification Review Committee. And Trumbull Regional invested in new technology in its cath lab, allowing for treatment of higher acuity patients.
Sharon Regional Medical Center achieved reaccreditation as a primary stroke center through the Joint Commission, chest pain accreditation through the American College of Cardiology, and laboratory accreditation through the College of American Pathologists.
The hospital was awarded the platinum performance achievement award chest pain-myocardial infarction registry through the American College of Cardiology.
With the addition of Dr. Megan Teeples, a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Warren now offers expanded services in the outpatient clinic, including nerve conduction studies, EMGs and Botox injections for chronic migraines and spasticity.
Physical therapy services for teens and adults were expanded to the Cortland community with the opening of Elm Road Rehabilitation Services.
