Stifel is deepening its commitment to the Canfield community this fall with the long-awaited opening of its new office at 6601 Westford Place. The three current Stifel offices in the Mahoning Valley region – two in Canfield and one in Salem – will all be rolled into the new office, giving clients the enhanced convenience of having a single location to visit for wealth management services.
Stifel’s new office will feature state-of-the-art technology, collaborative conference rooms, key card access, an electronic stock ticker throughout the lobby, numerous interior and exterior windows to allow a flow of natural light, exterior lighting at night, a hand-painted mural, and standing desks for all employees.
“This facility brings together three successful offices under one roof, creating opportunities for greater collaboration, innovation, and client service,” says Stephen VanSuch, managing director/investments, branch manager. “We are not simply opening a new building – we are creating a destination for relationships and financial guidance for current and future generations.”
Established in 1890, Stifel’s growth trajectory from boutique firm to one of the nation’s leading full-service wealth management firms began in earnest in the early 2000s, with a series of acquisitions that included the 2008 purchase of Butler Wick & Company – a Youngstown-based brokerage firm that helped spur Stifel’s growth. The following year, Stifel purchased 56 UBS offices, one of which was located in Canfield. These acquisitions underline Stifel’s commitment to the Mahoning Valley, and the firm’s plans for continued expansion throughout the region in the years to come means there will be additional employment opportunities for Youngstown’s financial talent.

Once Stifel grows into their new office space, it is expected that additional staff will be added.
