LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Sweet Memories Vintage Tees has added Zotz to its retro candy apparel collection. Logos of the fizzy favorite are appearing on officially licensed apparel.
The debut line features vintage-inspired designs using restored artwork, packaging elements and era-specific branding that reflect the candy.
Available now at SweetVintageTees.com, in the store at 1282 Trumbull Ave. and through select retail partners, the shirts reflect nostalgia for the unique treat.
Zotz are small, hard candies with a fizzy center that bursts with a sweet and sour flavor when it is reached.
The brand was introduced in 1970 and is still produced in the same small family-run factory in Italy. Today, Zotz is owned and distributed in the United States by André Prost Inc.
“These tees connect people to the flavors and moments they grew up loving,” said Linda Barton, founder of Sweet Memories Vintage Tees.
Sweet Memories will celebrate the addition of the Zotz logo Saturday and Sunday with an event that will include free Zotz samples, while supplies last, and chances to win a Zotz gift basket and T-shirts. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
As with all of its sales, the store will donate a percentage of its Zotz T-shirt revenue to Akron Children’s to support pediatric care, family services and life-saving programs.
Since its start, Sweet Memories has raised $112,432 for organizations including Akron Children’s, Meals on Wheels, Trumbull Mobile Meals, National Packard Museum and the Franciscan Friars.
